Get Involved in Missions at PUMC

Missions is a vital part of Providence United Methodist Church. In addition to designating 10 percent of our budget for missions, our church family is involved in giving their time, talents and service to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people in our community and beyond.

Among the many ministry opportunities we support are Ecumenical Ministries food bank, the Lighthouse, Habitat for Humanity United Methodist Build, the Care House, Goodwill, Operation Christmas Child, Mercy Ships, Remember Our College Kids (ROCK), Prodisee Pantry, Katrina recovery in Bayou la Batre, United Methodist Children's Home, mission trips and much more.

We strive to be God's hands and feet in the world and encourage all who join in our church family to be an active part in bringing Christ's love to our community, our area and the world.

Bread Wrapping

Bruce Ratcliffe delivers wrapped bread to the Prodisee Pantry. Volunteers gather each Thursday afternoon at the Ratcliffe's home to wrap donated bread so it can be delivered to area food pantries. Fill out a Mission Interest Form if you are interested in joining the wrap party.

Fight cancer! Support our team or become a team member. Contribute at Sunday School in the Relay for Life can, or click here to contribute online.

Ronald McDonald House

Paint a room at Ronald McDonald House

Sign up at the church or fill out the online Missions Interest Form and put "Ronald McDonald Painting" in the subject line. Missions Coordinator Clark Ratcliffe will help you coordinate. Gather a few friends to help and you can set your schedule. The paint is the most fume free and hypo-allergenic they could find.
