Church Conference approves new building.

The approved motion is as follows:
Be it resolved that:
(1) the Building Committee of Providence United Methodist Church, Inc. be, and it hereby is, authorized and directed to proceed with the construction of a 15,000 square foot multi-purpose facility on the Church’s 15+/- acres located on the eastern right of way of Highway 181 in the southwest quarter of Section 14, Township 4 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin County, Alabama, and without limiting such authorization and direction, said Committee is authorized and directed to execute and deliver an agreement with TurnerBatson for architectural, design, and construction administration services;
(2) the Trustees of Providence United Methodist Church, Inc. be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed to cause the Church to obtain a construction/permanent $2,200,000+/- loan from First Gulf Bank on the same, or substantially the same, terms and conditions as are set forth in that certain commitment letter from said bank to the Church dated January 22, 2007, and without limiting the foregoing authorization and direction, said Trustees are specifically authorized and directed to execute and deliver a promissory note, a first mortgage on the Church’s real property, and such other instruments as they may deem appropriate in order to consummate such loan.
