Providence UMC Invites Children to Fiesta Program
Providence United Methodist Church invites children entering grades kindergarten through fifth to a "Fiesta" vacation Bible school program in July and August.
The Fiesta program will be held four Wednesday evenings and one Monday evening from 5:30-8 p.m. Dates are July 12, 19, 26 and Aug. 2 and 7. To pre-register, contact Stephanie Pierce at 621-8669 with the names, ages and number of children you wish to register, or email the information to firstname.lastname@example.org. Pre-registration deadline is July 9. Also, registration forms are available on the Providence UMC website at www.providencemethodist.org.
The program will be held at Providence United Methodist Church, 9543 Stagecoach Road just one block off Hwy. 31 in Spanish Fort. For information about the church, contact the Rev. Bob Sweet at 626-2510.
Children attending Providence's "Fiesta" will be part of nearly one million children in North America who take part in a hands-on mission project that will reach needy children in Latin American countries. Each evening children will sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, take on a "daily challenge" to let Jesus' love grow into their homes, experience electrifying Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God's Word, and create Bible Point Crafts they will take home. Each day concludes at "Fiesta Finale," a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they have learned.
